Its that time again – I’m featuring my teaching ideas to use this week from last Tuesday’s linky party. I hope you find something fantastic that you’d like to make or teach this week, I know you’re going to love this creative set of teacher tips and ideas!
These are just the top 3 teaching ideas that I had time to highlight, you’ll see many more on Teach Junkie and featured on our facebook page. So a huge thank you for those who took the time to link up their fabulous teaching ideas!
1. Noteworthy Teaching Method – Ever feel like you need a magic trick to get students to finally learn something? Here is a noteworthy teaching method that I personally use all the time so I know it works great. Sing! Yep, even with fifth and sixth graders! {for real} So find out how one teacher uses this parts of speech song to teach all 8 parts of speech and get her students l-e-a-r-n-i-n-g!
2. How To Writing: Making a PB&J – A fun way to kick off a writing unit can be just as simple as taking a simple task and turning it into a silly teaching point. Find out a fun way to introduce how-to writing to your students with using a fun and silly peanut butter jelly recipe that will definitely hook your students for sure and have them excited about writing! If your students know Amelia Bedlia, then they will LOVE this activity. {I loved reading about it}
3. Superhero Hundreds Chart – If you’re working on common core standards that works on counting by ones and tens then this hundreds charts game is perfect. It allows students to manipulate a hundred chart and move along it becoming more familiar with number sense too. What a great free printable for kindergartners and first graders! {Free download}
Are you wondering what was the most popular {or most clicked on} idea from the party was? Well… it was How To Writing: Making a PB&J.
