Its that time again – I’m featuring my teaching ideas to use this week from last Tuesday’s linky party. I hope you find something fantastic that you’d like to make or teach this week, I know you’re going to love this creative set!
These are just the top 5 teaching ideas that I had time to highlight, you’ll see many more on Teach Junkie and featured on our facebook page. So a huge thank you for those who took the time to link up their fabulous teaching ideas!
1. Pinteresting Book Report – How can you get fifth and sixth graders excited about a book report? Here is a fun tip to use a Pinterest formatted worksheet to get students writing succinctly about the characters, setting, theme and solution. {love} It’s something that if you share your like for Pinterest, they can really get into. {Free download no longer available}
3. Spring CVC Words Spin and Color – This spin and color set of worksheets is perfect for spring and can carry into summer. Practice finding words with matching vowel sounds and then color the word with that sound. {Free download}
4. Art Attack Freebie – This one is the highlight of my week! {Seriously} I love seeing the creativity and organization from this teacher as she is putting together quick materials to use that cross grade levels. She does this since she’s a substitute teacher, but I think they are golden sets for sub plans and last-minute sponge activities too. {Free download}
5. Organizing Stickers – No matter if you have or don’t have an organization bone in your body, this tip is perfect for organizing stickers and getting them out of the random places you may have them stuffed. Check out how you can organize them by theme or kind to quickly get what you need.
7. How to Wrap Gifts in Kindergarten – “Wrap” a large 11×17 art project for a gift in a way that is so simple that even kindergartners can do it in under 5 minutes. If you have tissue paper and tape, then you’re golden. Simple tape two pieces of tissue paper together on all sides – as wrapping paper. Then add a handwritten note for the front. This is the perfect tip for end-of-the-year gifts for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or end-of-the-school-year gifts to parents.
Are you wondering what was the most popular {or most clicked on} idea from the party was? Well… it was Pinteresting Book Report.
